EA-RS Group has selected Ogilvie Fleet to supply vehicles for its engineering workforce, a move that expands the firm’s ability to meet field-service demands throughout the United Kingdom.
The organization already operates a fleet of over 200 light commercial vehicles (LCVs). These trucks and vans enable field-based engineers to travel to client sites, perform installations, and carry out maintenance tasks across a wide geographic area.
Under the new agreement, the provider will deliver a blend of contract-hire and rental units. The Rental Select+ scheme offers access to brand-new and nearly-new models on flexible terms, while the ReLease programme supplies de-fleeted vehicles that have been refreshed for continued use.
Vehicles sourced through contract hire will be customised to suit the specific requirements of EA-RS engineers. QI Van Systems will perform bespoke conversions, adding specialised storage, tool mounts, and safety equipment as needed.
Each unit will also be equipped with modern tracking technology, allowing real-time location monitoring and route optimisation. In addition, the fleet will carry the company’s distinctive liveries, reinforcing brand visibility on every job site.
Edward Dufty, fleet manager at the firm, explains that the partnership grants access to a wide range of funding and vehicle solutions. This flexibility enables the organisation to respond promptly to both planned expansion and unexpected shifts in operational demand.
Dufty highlights that reliability, high availability, and purpose-built specifications are essential to business performance. The collaboration has allowed him to adopt a more strategic stance on fleet oversight, improving consistency while managing whole-life costs more effectively.
Oliver Rudd, area sales manager for the provider, notes that his team worked closely with the client to understand operational needs and deliver a tailored solution. They anticipate a long-term relationship as the engineering division continues to grow.
