Kia India has opened pre‑bookings for three new powertrain options – the Kia Carens CNG, the Carens Clavis CNG and the Carnival Limousine Hybrid. Bookings are being taken through authorised dealers, while pricing will be disclosed closer to launch.
New CNG models for the Carens line
Both the Carens CNG and the Carens Clavis CNG are built around a G1.5 petrol engine coupled to a 6‑speed manual gearbox. Each vehicle receives a factory‑fitted compressed natural gas system and a 60‑litre fuel tank.
Compared with the standard versions, the CNG models feature engine calibration tuned for the alternative fuel and a revised suspension layout. They also come with 16‑inch wheels and disc brakes of the same size.
Inside, drivers will notice a dedicated fuel‑change switch and a 4.2‑inch colour TFT display that shows CNG‑specific range information. The third‑row seat‑back frame has been altered to allow a deeper recline, which should make longer trips a bit more comfortable.
This model is offered in the Premium (O) G1.5 6MT specification. The Clavis version appears in HTE and HTE (O) trims. For commercial use, the models are available as M‑Drive and HTM configurations respectively.
Carnival Limousine Hybrid adds electrified option
The third addition, the Carnival Limousine Hybrid, employs a G1.6T HEV powertrain paired with a 6‑speed automatic transmission. It is sold only in the Limousine+ trim level.
Equipment highlights include 18‑inch Crystal Cut Dual Tone Aero Alloy wheels, Active Air Flaps, and a Virtual Engine Sound System.

Inside, the cabin receives a Smart Pure Air Purifier with an AQI display, retractable height‑adjustable tables that support wireless charging, cup holders and monotone ambient lighting. Leatherette‑wrapped door trims complete the interior package.
