Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil exporter, has taken a historic turn in its industrial strategy. Through Ceer, a company created between the Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF and tech giant Foxconn, the country has officially presented its first two domestically produced vehicles, named Exobot. These models, available in sedan and SUV formats, are central to the national Vision 2030 plan.
The Exobot’s design features futuristic lines with geometric shapes and no B-pillar, allowing for easy access to the interior. The exterior’s distinctive feature is its Shahin Wing doors, which open like a fan and have an electrochromic glass panel that can be cleared with the touch of a button, providing useful lateral visibility in tight spaces.
Design and Technology
The Exobot’s aesthetic also pays homage to Saudi Arabia’s history, with 32 independent LED lighting elements on the front and rear grilles, referencing the year 1932, when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was officially established.
In terms of performance, the top-of-the-line Exobot features three electric motors with all-wheel drive and active torque distribution, producing 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. This allows the sedan to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 2 seconds. The vehicle’s battery has a capacity of 112 kWh and an 800-volt architecture.

Interior and Features
The Exobot’s interior is dominated by screens, including a 48-inch 8K panoramic display spanning the dashboard, a 10.4-inch central monitor for multimedia management, and an 8-inch rear screen for second-row passengers. Despite the extensive digital features, the vehicle retains traditional physical controls for adjusting climate settings and volume.
The Exobot also features a patented Halo Cooling system, which projects a curtain of cool air between the glass roof and the occupants’ heads, rapidly reducing the cabin temperature in extreme desert heat.
Both Exobot models will be manufactured at the King Abdullah Economic City. Ceer plans to launch seven distinct models by 2030, including hybrid options with extended range. Although sales will initially focus on the Middle East, the project has been developed to meet European standards, paving the way for potential future expansion.
